The GivEnergy voltage is an optimiser that is used for stepping down the voltage of mains when this has been increased by a PV installation.  The voltage optimiser can step down the voltage by 6, 12, or 18V to bring it back within the voltage range set out by DNO's of 230 (+/- 10%). As a result of this, reducing the voltage entering the house can also reduce power consumption when the household AC voltage is significantly above the standard 230V.
