Hanchu IP65 Combiner Box

Introduction

This IP65 Combiner Box is intended for use with the HANCHU HESS-HY-S-7.0K, 8.0K and 10.0K single-phase hybrid inverters, in accordance with the applicable HANCHU battery configuration guidance. For these models, the supported battery options are the HANCHU 5.12kWh heated battery and the HANCHU 9.4kWh heated battery.

For installations using one or two batteries only, a combiner box is not required. In these configurations, the standard 3AWG battery cables may be used.

Important: This combiner box is only for approved HANCHU battery configurations using the HESS-HY-S-7.0K, 8.0K and 10.0K single-phase hybrid inverters with HANCHU 5.12kWh or 9.4kWh heated batteries. It is not required for 1 or 2 battery systems, where standard 3AWG battery cables can be used. For larger systems, installation requirements vary depending on battery model and quantity, and must follow the latest HANCHU battery configuration guidance.

5.12kWh Installations:

For HANCHU 5.12kWh heated batteries, there are two approved configuration options:

Option 1: For systems with 3 to 16 batteries installed without a combiner box, 0AWG 200A power cables and the required parallel connection cables must be purchased separately. These are not standard cables and are not supplied as standard with the battery.

Option 2: For systems with 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12 or 16 batteries installed with a combiner box, the installer must use the power cables supplied within the combiner box packaging. From 4 batteries onwards, the batteries must be evenly distributed across all 4 Inputs within the combiner box.

9.4kWh Installations:

For HANCHU 9.4kWh heated batteries, the approved configuration is 3, 4, 6 or 8 batteries only, installed with a combiner box, using the power cables supplied within the combiner box packaging. From 4 batteries onwards, the batteries must be evenly distributed across all 4 Inputs within the combiner box.

All installations must be completed strictly in accordance with the latest HANCHU installation manuals, battery configuration guidance, and system design limits. It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure the system is designed and installed in line with current manufacturer requirements.
