The MyEnergi ZAPPI-2H07TB is a single phase, 7kW, Type 2 eco-smart charging station for electric vehicles. This product is black in colour and includes a 6.5m tethered cable for charging. This new, 2.1 version of the MyEnergi Zappi is supplied with a built-in Ethernet port (RJ45 socket) and WiFi to connect to the local network (LAN). The new built-in Hub functionality (vHub) also means that a separate hub is not required to connect MyEnergi devices to the internet. The station offers three charging modes: ECO, ECO+ and FAST, letting the user decide which option best suits their needs. Zappi is the only EV charger with built-in PEN fault technology, which makes it extremely safe and eliminates the need for earth rod installation. Zappi just got better! Integrated Wifi in the new V2.1 units now means that they are OLEV Smart compliant without the need for an additional hub. The new V2 model is BS 7671 18th Edition ready and comes with integrated RCD and Earth fault detection. This eliminates the need to install an expensive Type B RCD or an earth electrode. Zappi works like any regular charging point but has special eco charging modes which will benefit homeowners with grid-tied microgeneration systems. The ECO+ charging mode will automatically adjust the charging rate to only make use of surplus power that would otherwise be exported from the property - which means that charging your car is effectively completely free! The ECO mode is similar, but allows you to specify a minimum that should be put into the car by a particular time, in order to minimise use of imported power but still ensure you have sufficient charge to use the car. In FAST charge mode, zappi operates like any ordinary EV charging station.
